The Plastification of the Creative Power

Panel Three- http://fog.ccsf.cc.ca.us/~jcarpent/

Panel three depicts Diego Rivera’s idea of half Indian/half machine. He does this by focusing on the center piece which is an Aztec god named Coatlicue combined with a Detroit Motor Company Machine. His outlook is that one world cannot function without the other. Consequently, the machine can not work without the man or vice versa. This panel also depicts Rivera’s personal life since his wife Frida Kahlo is presented in the left bottom corner. The mural presents Rivera’s passionate marriage and love for Frida Kahlo who also shared her world of revolutionary politics.
